Lunch time at San Pedro, our favorite skate spot!
With a little help from daddy Kai pops his first ollie at San Pedro. He seems quite fascinated with skateboards...:)This was probably one of my favorite weekend in years. Seven of my really great girlfriends that I knew back when I lived in Colorado came in for 4 days and we hadn't all been together in the same place in 8 years. I met them down in San Diego on Friday night and we stayed at this amazing house on the beach in La Jolla, sadly I forgot my camera...:( But we had a wonderful time catching up, going out and basically pretending like we were 25 again! Since the days when we all ran around together in Colorado most of us have had children and all of our lives have changed significantly, but we all still love to skateboard. I'm so lucky to have such wonderful women in my life. Each one of them is a blessing. Sadly Nikki (who is one of my best friends and was even in our wedding) is moving to Australia in 6 weeks, so it was so great to get everyone together again as it's hard to know if it will ever happen again. I'm sad about this but happy for her, and I know somehow we'll still be in touch and see each other on occasion. It was everyones first times meeting the babies. Kai quickly learned that if he would walk up to one of them with his belly showing he would get all the belly raspberries his little heart desired, so whenever anyone would look at him from across the room he would lift his shirt just enough to get peak of his little pot belly, and sure enough he would be getting raspberries and giggling with glee in no time...:) And Daila just could get enough of hanging out with the girls. She loved just sitting in the middle of everything and babbling like she was part of the conversation. She's so social!
Billy catered to our every need the whole while taking care of the babies and it was definitely a great weekend that I'll remember forever.
