Recent Travels and Good Times...

Family photo over San Fransisco "Fillmore District". Love this area, postcard perfect!

The first part of 2012 has been busy and fun. We've been trying to soak up every minute/day/weekend of good times before Kai and Daila start preschool in the fall. Hard to believe we're even talking about this... I mean they were just born like last week right?! We've had some really good times and even took our first family car road-trip. 7 hours to San Francisco and they were loving the whole drive. have a feeling we have many more road trips to come :)

Daila having a serious moment with the grass while Kai clowns around as usual :)
Swing set over the Fillmore!
We stayed at a hotel at "Lands End" over looking Ocean beach. Billy use to live in this area when he lived here. This was our last day there and we decided to take a little hike. When we pulled into the parking lot not long before this photo was taken we walked up and found Carlos Santana (really... of "Santana") sitting on the overlook wall by himself with some speakers next to him blasting Frank Sinatra. I really wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it. Pretty much set the mood for the best day ever. Love SF!
Dai Dai and momma... life talks overlooking the golden gate bridge :)
Life's pretty happy for some 3 year olds.
We have a miniature golden gate bridge that sits on our window sill at home that they call "Daddy's Bridge". They were so excited to see the real thing. When we came around the corner and this was all they saw they both started shouting "daddy's bridge! daddy's bridge!"
Daila and Billy...
OHIO------------------
Kai and Daila got to spend almost 2 weeks with their family in Ohio. They stayed at Uncle Don and Aunt Traci's house while we took our trip to St. Lucia and even got to spend time with their Mimi who flew up from Florida to watch all the little ones! This was on our last night and aunt Traci made popcorn for everyone for movie night. They were so enamoured with the popcorn maker, they'll be talking about this for a long time :)
No trip to Mansfield is complete without a stop at the carousel. We've gone there the last three times we've visited. They even know which animals they want to ride even before we get there!
Lunch downtown in my hometown. This fountain sits in the square in the middle of town in the historic district. I remember going to 4th of July parades here when I was little :)
There was snow many of the days we were there. We had big aspirations of building a big snowman but ran out of time to build one. Good thing Billy managed to squeak this one out. the kids named him "snowy" and were shattered to find out he had melted by the time we had gotten back that day...:(
St. Lucia street party. mommy and daddy get to relax and have fun!!!
This blog doesn't allow me to re-arrange photo order once it's posted... so there are randoms in the timeline. But I love this photo, Billy's been working hard to get his VW bug running and Daila has been there to help every step of the way :)
Kai and Daila meeting their adorable cousin Sebastian (Blair and Adam's baby) for the first time :)
Back to St Lucia... Myself and my sister in law Traci. I am so blessed to have this amazing woman in my life!
Billy and I the day we got there. the driver of our car thankfully stopped to let us out. Pretty view but it was the longest drive ever! 3 hours in a car vs. 30 minutes by helicopter. Thankfully we got to take the heli tour on the way back.
BACK HOME IN CA-------------
Early morning. Kai and Daila fascinated with my phone :)
Cutest faces ever!
Snow Day! The town we live in shipped snow in one weekend to have sled riding in the park!
Cutie girl :)

Kiddie breakfast time over the beach!
One of our favorite families on the planet came to visit from Australia. Nikki is my good friend who use to live in Colorado and was in our wedding. It was so fun to get both of our families together and spend a few days at the beach.
Bella, Daila and Kai playing games in the hotel.
