Santa came!

So many new toys, so little time!

Daila was very excited about the new griddle that Mimi and Papa sent, or maybe she was just really hungry for pancakes?!

Sorting through the presents that santa brought.

Kai, not really sure where to start with all of the present opening.

This piece of packaging strap was by far Daila's favorite new toy. Here she looks like she's using it as a guitar.

Discovering her new favorite thing...:) And modeling her new apron that she can use in the kitchen when baking with mommy.

Kai Boy all happy on Daddy's lap getting ready to open yet another gift from Santa.

Daddy helping them figure out there new truck set sent from Mimi and Papa.

Daila giving the trucks the mandatory taste test.

Kai having a serious moment with his new puzzle bug.

Daila bonding with her first baby doll...:)

Daddy teaching Kai to swing a bat for the first time!

Kai loves his new bat and tee set up.

Christmas morning cuddle time with my two favorite gifts ever!
We had a wonderful Christmas morning. Kai and Daila were very excited when they came downstairs and discovered that Santa had made his way down the chimney and left so many suprises for them! We played all morning and had breakfast together. Later in the afternoon we went over to Pamela and Stevens for the annual family and friends Christmas party. We had such a great day. We hope everyone else had a great holiday too!

Christmas Eve!

In front of the Christmas tree!

Daila liked to check out each bow.

Showing off her new pink boots!

Kai Boy and Grandpa Bobby.

Sally and Bobby hosted the annual Christmas Eve dinner.

We went over to Sally and Bobby's for Christmas eve. Every year this is when the family gets together for the gift exchange and Sally's italian Christmas dinner. It was wonderful! Sally made lasagna and I brought over pumpkin pie cheesecake and cupcakes for dessert. Billy and I also brought some of our toffee that is becoming a tradition for us to make each year. Once we got home we got to do our much anticipated scurry to get everything ready for santa to arrive...:)

First art project!

We decided to handmake our Christmas cards this year. Kai and Daila got to do their first art project and carefully hand painted each card. Our kitchen became the drying rack as it took 2 days to complete the whole project. We think they really liked painting, and both had to taste the finger paints first, good thing for non-toxic paint!

The Allmighty Superballs

The objects of all attention the last few days.

Kai tirelessly speedcrawling his way towards one of the balls.

Admiring the glittery wonderland.

Daila would rather dance around to the Christmas music. If you've seen her dance in person you know she is doing her "signature arm dance" in this picture...:)

Kai telling daddy all about just how amazing this ball is...:)

Kai, Daila and I went to Michael's craft store the other day to get supplies for our upcoming family art project. While we were at the checkout counter they both spotted these glittery reindeer superballs and were reaching out for them. Now I realize it's probably not good to get them to think I'll buy everything they reach out for, but this was their first outing in a shopping cart as appose to being in the stroller and now they can see everything. So I guess I got caught up in the moment and gave in. Either way it's the best $4 ever spent. Usually the luster of a new toy wears off the same day, but we're going on three days now of absolute undivided attention to the magical bouncing reindeer. We're so excited to get all of the holiday stuff out this week, this is just the beginning!

Thanksgiving weekend in the desert

Thanksgiving in the desert, looking dapper and elegant in the Kai's fedora and Daila's scarf. Frank Sinatra would be proud!

Getting ready to head over to Paul and Paula's annual "dessert" get together.

Max showing Kai his movie editing program.

Hanging out on the PGA West golf course after hours.

Best roaming area ever!

Run to the hills!

Kai Boy, man of leisure on the golf course...:)

Auntie Pamela and Grandma Gigi getting ready to stroll around the neighborhood.

Bottle cuddle time with cousin Max.

We spent Thanksgiving out in the Desert with family and had a wonderful weekend. Kai and Daila got to spend time with their cousin Max, and everyone just relaxed for a few days, and cooked and ate! The babies LOVED all of their turkey and fixings, and we think they gained a couple pounds each just from the weekend...:) They were so cute in their fancy accessories, each with a story behind them. Last year for Billy's 40th B-day Pamela and I threw a "1940's" themed party for him on the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Since everyone was dressed in 1940's attire Billy decided to buy a fedora for Kai, even though he wasn't born yet (I was 33 weeks prego at the time!) Well he finally fits into it and was just the cutest little dude ever! And then Daila, not one to upstaged in the accessories dept., has been carting around a scarf of mine that she swiped from our bedroom a couple of weeks ago. Without any help from us she's been wearing it around her neck too... We think this is a sign of things to come and she has inherited some fashionista tendencies from her auntie Pamela...:)
Billy and I got some time to get away for a while and met up with my old friend Cam who lives in Colorado, who was also vacationing there for the week. We skated the Palm Springs skatepark and then took Cam to our favorite spot Billy Reeds. If you ever find yourself in Palm Springs we definitly recommend this place for a martini!
