The day before Mimi had to leave to go back to Ohio Sally came over and took her out to lunch. When they got back we loaded up the new wagon and headed over to the park. The babies had a blast and are so lucky to have 2 grandmas who love them so much. We were sad to see Mimi go but were so happy to have her here with us for almost a month...:)

Well, the 1st birthday extravaganza is now come and gone. Both Billy and I agree it couldn't have gone more perfect. The babies got to celebrate with a house full of people who love them, and it seemed they really knew something cool was happening. I don't think they could have been any happier on the day of their birthday. Thank you to all who came to celebrate and to everyone who has helped make this last year be the best times of our life. We are so excited about the future!

I'm playing a little catch-up with this post as we're a bit behind, but these photos couldn't just not be posted. This is from a couple days before the babies birthday. Mimi couldn't wait and just had to give them some early presents. Kai and Daila waited sooooo impatiently as Billy put together the new ride, and then it was playtime till bedtime. Weeeeeee!

Laguna Beach Weekend!

We had an awesome weekend in Laguna Beach, quite possibly the best family weekend yet! An artist friend of ours Jeremy Fish had invited us to his opening at the Laguna Art Museum. He has displayed at galleries all over the world but this was his first Museum show and we were excited to share this honorable moment with him. Aside from that we love visiting our favorite spot in Laguna the Hotel Capri, which is also where we got married and my parents stay there everytime they visit. It has become a very special place for us all and Billy decided to treat us all to a weekend at the beach!

We had many friends in from out of town and our friends Rick and Melissa stayed in the room right next door. Saturday night we got to see everyone at the show and then when Mimi retired with the babies Billy and I got to have a night on the town with everyone. It was great and much needed! Sunday afternoon was spent on the patio of the hotel right on the beach where we said our "I-do's" with the babies, mom, and 6 of our great friends. The only thing missing was Papa, as this is one of his favorite places to be too, otherwise the day could not have been more perfect. We can't wait until next time!

The babies are loving spending all of this time with their Mimi. Even if it's just hanging out doing day-to-day stuff it's always more fun with her here. We've been resting up the last few days for our big upcoming weekend in Laguna Beach. An artist friend of ours Jeremy Fish is opening a show at the Laguna Art Museum Saturday night, so we decided to get a hotel room and bring the whole family! We'll surely be posting photos of it when we get back.

Billy and I went to Adam and Blairs wedding and Mimi got to hand out the candy to all of the kids and then they strolled the neighborhood for a while. Apparently nothing scared them and they had a blast having all of the neighborhood kids stop and say hi to them in their scary costumes!
