Favorite spot in the house.

The sliding glass door has quickly become the babies favorite spot to hang out. Daila has been venturing out to it for almost a week now, but Kai is now joining her and they would sit there all day if they could. Kai use to just always go to the very edge of the carpet as close to Daila as he could get without actually crossing the hardwood, and then just sit there...:) We think it's because he actually crawls on his knees while Daila kind of drags herself around without putting her knees down. Either way, they both are all over the place now!

Happy Fathers Day Daddy!

This was Billy's first fathers day and we made sure it was as much relaxation and fun times with the babies for him as possible. He has been traveling for work lately and his back has been bothering him for the last month, so lounging around the house being waited on was the perfect day. And with two adorable faces smiling up at him all day made it as happy a fathers day as it gets...:)

The warm bright square day 2.

The first thing Daila did when we came downstairs this morning is head straight over to the bright square again. This time Kai was right behind her. I wonder if she told him all about it this morning during their early morning chat time that we always hear over the monitor? Either way she was happy to share it with Kai, and he gazed and patted in amazement at it too. I tried to get a photo of them making shadows in it, but didn't get one today. Something tells me I'll have many more opportunities to catch this though in the near future...:)

What is this warm bright square?

I could here Daila from the other room doing her usual "Ba ba ba" chant while crawling around. She's been doing this lately all day and night testing out every possible octave. Sometimes she gets really excited and kind of shrieks when she does it, and sometimes she almost whispers and does it really slow. It's really cute when she and Kai are laying down sharing a toy together and she whispers it like she's trying to tell him a secret. Well all of the sudden I heard silence and then a constant patting on the floor. So I looked around the corner and this is what I found. This strange new square on the floor pretty much stopped her in her tracks and she sat there and checked it out for a while.

Leave no stone un-turned.

The last week has become more and more exciting every day as the babies are making their way around the house checking out every little thing. We put up a baby gate the other day and sure enough Kai and Daila had to bee line it over there as fast as they could to investigate this new foreign object. And this morning Daila found great joy in the tassel of my purse hanging from the chair.

Babies first wedding!

The family, pre-ceremony.

Mikadelphia and Kai boy.

Bill Sargeant and Daila. The babies next wedding will be he and his fiance Agata's next month!

Mama made the mini-wedding cake and cupcakes.

A blissful moment with my 2 little cutie pies...:)

Our good friends Kerri and Scott were married over the weekend so this was Kai and Daila's first wedding. They had a wonderful time as did Billy and I. They were so good the whole day. We also discovered that they both LOVE ice cream, as daddy snuck them their first tastes of big people food. So now at least we know if all else fails, we can always feed them ice cream!

An eventful week in photos.

Kai being happy little munchman.

The welcoming committee.

Daila changing the oil in the bouncer.

Daila hanging out under the swing while Kai holds on to it for her.

Daila rockin' the ponytail.

Anxiously awaiting the first bottle of the day.

Kai and Daila are now crawling all over the place. Kai was the first with the "textbook" perfect crawling form. Daila however tends to cover more ground with her army crawl style. She gets so determined when she decides she needs to go check something out that nothing will stand in her way. She actually dragged the baby einstein halfway across the room yesterday because it was caught in her arm. I also walked in the living room today and couldn't find her at first, because she was all the way under the bouncer! She loves to be under things. Kai has also been perfecting sitting up. He always like to sit up now, it's even the first thing he does when he wakes up in the morning!

A visit from the Sole Tech crew.

Kai loves auntie Ingrid!
Daila getting to know Anita.

Donna and Kai. She loved holding the babies, and will hopefully be a grandma someday soon!

We were visited today by some friends of mine from my old job at Sole Technology (Etnies). Ingrid, Anita and Donna brought lunch and we sat outside and chatted and played with the babies. Kai and Daila entertained themselves on the grass while we ate, and then as usual Kai demanded to sit at the table and be a part of the conversation. He really loves interacting and "conversing" with people. Both babies really enjoy company and seeing new people. We can't wait for our next Ladies Lunch with them!

So happy together!

Staying connected during their afternoon nap.

I walked in the other morning and they were watching TV like this together.

Everyday Kai and Daila seem to be becoming more bonded to each other. They seem to want to be touching each other all of the time, sometimes a little too much as Kai loves to pull and suck on the top of Daila's hair, and Daila really likes to explore every inch of Kai's face. Unfortunate for Kai this usually means her poking at his eyes and holding on to his ears for dear life. I've actually had to pry her little fingers off of them! So aside from the occasional harassment of each other, they more than anything just like to be connected when they are hanging out during the day and I even went to check on them sleeping last night and they were holding hands. It just makes my heart melt every time I see this. :)

Memorial Day Weekend.

So as usual I'm a little behind in posting, not for lack of adorable photo's though. So I'm backtracking a little to post some that were too good to not put up. These are all from Memorial Day weekend. We went over to Gigi and Grandpa's for dinner one night. Then on Memorial day Billy and I just hung out with the babies outside and bbq'ed. It was a perfect relaxing weekend.
